Advice on a Miter Saw

I'm looking for a new Back Saw to use in my Stanley 150 miter box and to cut sliding dovetail and rabbet joints in wider planks. Anybody have any suggestions for me? Because of my limited space I can only get one so getting the optimum length is important. 14", 16" or  18"?

  1. I bought a Philadephia Saw COmpany 16" on Ebay for 6.99 - not a Disston but it works for me.

  2. Mitchell, I would ask Chris Schwarz for his advice on a backsaw. I use a 12" L-N for sliding dovetails, but they also carry a 14". Their saw design is based on Disston's. Good luck!
